Ron + Andy Get Married – Michigan Supreme Court Edition!

It was a very special day photographing the wedding of the wonderful Ron and Andy. Special because they were so obviously in love, special because it was their wedding day, but more than that – SPECIAL, because they were to be the first same-sex couple to be married in the Michigan Supreme Court, showing how much Michigan has become a place where Love truly is Love for all.

Did I mention what an honor it was to be able to photograph/share the day with them?

They were married inside the chambers of the absolutely delightful Justice Bridget Mary McCormack in an intimate ceremony and let me tell you, emotions were running high. Tears, laughter, and a little celebration were on the agenda that afternoon!

When asked about their location they chose afterwards for some photos, Ron and Andy told me they wanted to stay on the grounds of the Hall of Justice not only because they were beautiful in their own right, but because of some special words written on the side of the building that meant so much to them and their day; FREEDOM, and more importantly, EQUALITY. To be honest, I don’t think we could have picked a better place either.

Please SHARE and CELEBRATE with the newlyweds, for it was a great day to get married, and it’s a great time to have many wonderful things to celebrate!
